Red Dog Designs is a small home-based craft and fine-art business tended by me, Holly, in the wee hours between sleeping and my day job.
My painting style is a free form mix between impressionistic and realistic. I enjoy painting subjects from the natural world both in the field and in the studio. I gain inspiration from the many beautiful places I have worked and the experimenting with texture through the integration of paper and acrylic paints on canvas.
I am thankful to be able to express my creative side and share some of that vision with my friends and family. I am thankful not only because art has greatly enriched my life, but also because recently diagnosed with MS, I have had to slow down a bit and find activities that are enriching but that don’t require a large amount of physical assertion. Returning to my love for painting and fiber arts has made the challenges of chronic illness easier to bear.
I know....it looks messy...but this is absolutely the PERFECT TABLE. My fabulous boyfriend spent the weekend...not only building this perfect table for my sewing projects, but also stacking ALL of my wood on the porch, and caulking the tub. I am LUCKY...or perhaps just so fabulous myself that I deserve such treatment. This table has in two weeks revolutionized my entire work process. I no longer must crawl around on the floor to cut out patterns...weaving my way through the dog pee stains....and ending up with numb knees and a sore back. I feel so very professional! Ginger loves it too....plenty of space underneath to hang with mommy during her long, boring craft sessions.
